Also avoid 8th street, avoid 11-13t) (Lincoln Park). The further east you drive (the higher numbered the street) the less the traffic because you're reverse commuting.

Leave your house by 7:45, there are less cars on the road. Then try different routes until you see which one works for your particular house. I don't live in your exact location, but all I can say is that sometimes it's easier to go east than North.

Please share your secrets for getting to the north side of Capitol Hill -- Bladensburg Road -- in less than 10 minutes from just south of Eastern Market. At rush hour and most other times, from our house near Tyler Elementary, it takes me 10 minutes at least to cross the Hill going north. I usually go up 11th or 12th and then around Lincoln Park to 13th and then Tennessee. Sometimes I take 6th to Maryland at Stanton Park. Once I'm at Maryland/Bladensburg intersection, it's another 10 minutes at the very least to South Dakota.

I think you're looking at the MO campus. It would definitely be 30 min to go there. 15 min sounds about right to SD.

Waze must be off as I'm showing 16 minutes from Eastern Market metro to Perry St Prep (don't have address for lamb) taking Bladensburg. There isn't any traffic on Bladensburg going north.

I'm at home near Eastern Market metro. Waze tells me that it's 28 minutes from my house to the school right now. It's 10:30 on a Monday night. Driving north-south across the Hill is slow anyway you look at it.

Well you have guessed wrong. It's easy to park by Lamb SD, and it's not hard to get to my car in the morning on the Hill. The way back from LAMB to the Hill takes more time then drop off, but I usually drive to work in a different direction so this doesn't affect me. It also takes me around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.

Not a chance. Hill to MO is 30 on a good day. And then terrible getting back or home depending on the day. Same with SD. Crossing NY Ave at any place during rush hour is work.

I did commute from Anacostia to SD in less than 30. Would go through the hill sometimes and would say it would be about 20. Maryland - Bladensburg - Montana - 18th
