DD of friends went, did extremely well, liked it a great deal, was well-served academically. Heard no fatal-flaw (or close) stories at all.

Excellent immunology department - not sure if your DC is interested in science but they are highly regarded with excellent faculty in that area.

I only know a couple of people who attended WashU back in the day (both loved it), so I don't have any advice. I will say though that it's a gorgeous campus, and I love the fact that it's right next to the Loop and Forest Park. I have family in University City, and the run from their house, through the campus, to the park is one my favorite routes in the country. The dining scene around there is really vibrant too, and I'm sure you and your child will love how friendly everyone is.

Thanks for any tips. We have never visited (but DC has), and is excited about starting college in the Fall.

Any advice in the "wish I had known" category?

Or any other helpful hints for a family that knows very little about the Midwest or St. Louis?

Thx
