Not OP, but sometimes you just know.

I still think OP should take her time and not get so caught up in the initial meeting she ignores the practical things, including if the guy is as into her as she is.

How long are you likely to continue living apart? What are your time constraints (school, work) that would prevent one of you from relocating? What kind of timeframe are you picturing?

We have been married for 10 years and he is the love of my life. We have had our share of hardship (everyone does), but he has turned out to be everything I thought he was.

But have a timeframe in mind, don't fall into a trap where this goes on for years and you are still long distance, at some point you'll have to have a plan to be able to see each other on a regular basis.
I'd also encourage you to still date men in your area.

The fact that he lives far away makes him more attractive. It's the I like what I cannot have syndrome.

Those are wonderful memories to enjoy but focusing on him will distract you from the men who are actually in your region.

Eventually you make plans to visit each other, meet up here and there.

If things become serious then you talk about moving.

Email. It won't last though unless one of you moves to be near the other.

I was visiting a friend on the west coast and met a fantastic guy at a party we attended.
We were very into each other and had great conversation (despite my jet lag).
We exchanged numbers at the end of the night and made plans to keep in touch.
This could turn into nothing, but it'd be great if it turned into something more. I really like him.
