Child support is calculated using current income, but what do self employed people do, given that their income can fluctuate wildly from year to year? Exchanging tax returns every year and adjusting child support at that time, if needed, doesn't really solve the issue, because the tax returns are about what happened in a previous year. Any advice for how self-employed individuals can calculate the child support, or what clauses to put in the rest of the divorce agreement to account for it?
