Actually the price was less than a 1000 per person until 25 of April, I was just a moron who didn't buy it then.

Your welcome! I've use him for my 2 bosses extensive international and domestic travel for many years. You could also try Frosch. A lot of the other secretaries here use them, I don't know what their fees are though.

Thank you for your suggestion. I did call, but believe it or not, travel agents often have lower prices even with the fee. I am right now organizing it with an agent from Europe who can book them for over 150 less per person, through less busy airports, since Frankfurt is often a nightmare and I had an issue with them there just dropping a handicapped elderly person half way through to the next gate and telling her somebody will pick her up and nobody showed up. With them it is cheaper with Zurich and Munich connections, and directly with the airline as soon as I ask for a specific airport price goes up. I know it is hard to believe but travel agents specializing in certain destination will have lower prices and will help you right away if something goes wrong during the travel. I am also pretty picky and when I called United first three phone calls disconnected after they made me do a survey, and then the call just dropped. I only got a hold of somebody on the 4th try. KLM reservations keeps suggesting flights through Istanbul, or as DH calls it "gateway to ISIS,"(don't get mad at me, he says it, not me) and Air France quoted me a price of 4K for one person, while with travel agent their ticket for the same flight is around 2K.

OP, just call the airline. They may charge a fee for a telephone booking but they can usually help. But otherwise what you describe still isn't that complicated. You could do it online and then call the airline to take care of the special requests like the wheelchair.

Not OP but I can say that round trip tix internationally are easy to do online. However if you're traveling to multi destinations within your trip on carriers that are not ones that you're accustomed to it can be more complicated.

Why don't you want to book your own?

Unless its a really complicated trip, just book the flights yourself. I prefer doing it directly through the airline so if any changes occur its easier to deal with. If its a more complicated trip then I would get a travel agent to help with more than just the flight otherwise its not in their best interest.

1. Travel Agents make nothing for flights anymore that's why some have service fees.

2. Why in the world can't you make your own online? Easiest thing in the world. Have you never heard of Kayak.com?

Do you have a good travel agent that is willing to book international plane tickets? I called several and nobody is calling back. Do they no longer book just flights, is it not worth it without a while trip? Thanks so much.
