Maude's Liquor Bar, Bavette's, Mexique are all amazing.

Piece
Pat's
Paisano's

Those are the only recommendations I would make for pizza, never Gino's East.

I just booked a room at the London House, opening end of June. Not sure if you need to hav a room booked to access the rooftop bar.

Thanks for all the recommendations! Have been to the pizza places before, so I'm excited to try out one of the other places! Appreciate the input!

I agree with a PP that getting into some of the restaurants may be challenging.

If you want something specific to Chicago, go with deep dish pizza. I prefer Lou Malnati's, but Giordano's and Gino's East are good as well.

chicagoan here. you will never get into some of the restaurants listed here for this coming weekend.

downtown, you might be able to get into Sepia, zed 451 (has a rooftop), or piccolo sogno (has an amazing back patio).

if you venture north into the neighborhoods, i suggest caro mio (italian, BYOB, amazing), bistro campagne (french), Mixteco (mexican, BYOB).

Stuffed pizza (not stuffed crust) from Giordanos.

You will obviously have to get some real deep dish pizza. Just be prepared to wait for it.

I haven't eaten at a steak house since I moved away from Chicago-I would do someplace like Gene and Georgetti.

Try both Lou Malnati's and Portillo's

It's cold to hit a rooftop bar, but the one at the wit is excellent.

Food wise: tango sur, purple pig, Mirai sushi are my usual go to. Mirai most frequently because I still haven't found good sushi in DC.

I have always wanted to check out one of the roof-top patio bars/restaurants in Chicago. Maybe someone can suggest one.

Hubs and I are heading to Chicago for a work trip this weekend. We've been once before and did some of expected touristy things. This weekend, we're looking for a great restaurant to enjoy. Would love something that we can't get in DC. Thanks in advance for recommendations!
