@ SSSAS. Hard to tell. DS likes math, grasps the concepts easily. Is it effective - yes. But, he did the same last year. The approach is different for me. Certainly not the way I learned math. More of a visual, graphic way of explaining the concepts, which may be helpful to a wider variety of learners.

OP here. What about other NoVa lower schools like Congressional, Langley, Green Hedges and Potomac (confirmation on Math in Focus). To those of you who have kids learning "Singapore" math, are you happy with it? Is it better than alternative methods that are used in public or were used previously at your private?

Several schools use,Math in Focus which is Singapore based: Sheridan, Bullis, Potomac is moving to it I believe, ACDS.
