you're joking, right? we left public after our fair share of horrible teachers. Public school teachers never get fired. Ever.

I think OP means that donor dollars don't really matter in public schools. No one gets anything named after
Them at a public school, no matter how much wrapping paper you buy. Bad teachers exist everywhere, or even a good teacher with a personality conflict with your kid, can exist anywhere

it is really tough when you feel like the teacher can barely stand your child. it makes for a long year. but it will be over soon. hang in there.

Been there. Yes you feel powerless. The school year is almost over. Hang in there.

We pulled our child mid year due to a teacher that was horrible (yelling and crazy).

We had that problem at our school at one time...we eventually left, as the administration was deaf to our concerns (And those of many others, Every Year!) ...

Teacher is still there, protected by the administration ...

This happens at most privates at some point...privates just cost more, there's not necessarily 'better' than publics or other options...

Perhaps you could go above the principal...to the head? Board of Trustee member, write a letter? But do *not* make it about 'donor money' and the teacher's love of those who donate.
And those of you who said 'does this happen' Yes...A large donor's child WILL get special treatment.

Let me guess, your child is at Green Acres.

I'd pull out of a school like that sounds ridiculous.

Why would the teacher care how much money you donate? It's not going into her paycheck. What specifically do you dislike?

What's the problem? Does your child tell you other kids get more attention and help? Sounds strange to me.

I can't wait for my child to be out of her class. Unless you donate a huge amount of money, she won't give your kid the time of day. So sick of it.
