I feel a little silly asking this, but since it's an anonymous forum...
We are having a lot of trouble finding a name for DS#2 (due in 2.5 months so we do have some time). With my first, we were lucky enough to have a family name that we love and is the right balance for us between not common but not weird or difficult to pronounce. Now we are struggling to find anything we like half as much for #2.
My first son's name starts with R (biblical name) and I have been contemplating the name Rigel for #2. I just like the sound of the name, but it happens to the name of a star in the constellation Orion. Unfortunately it apparently features in Star Trek--I think it's a galaxy or something. DH and I aren't trekkies and I'm afraid of giving DS#2 a name with that connotation.
Any thoughts--especially from Star Trek fans--is the name that strongly associated with the show? Any other reactions to the name, since it seems to be fairly uncommon?
