Frozen is more than expensive. But the protocol is the same except no syncing with someone else. So BCP for 3-5 weeks based on when the transfer is scheduled.

We did fresh DE at SG through their shared risk program. Basically, it was cheaper than frozen. It was pretty easy - birth control pills to "sync" up with the donor. Then delestrogen, and then started PIO on the day of retrieval. Did delestrogen every 3 days and PIO every night. I won't lie - the PIO was tough and towards the end I alternated with the inserts.

Our first round of DE didn't work and that was a tough pill to swallow at the time. But our second round worked! I found it much less stressful than IVF. Also, if DE had failed, I would have been devastated, but I would have know that I did everything possible to have a second baby.

Did anyone decide to do fresh donor eggs? Can you walk me through your decision process about this and your protocol?
