Was not meant to be a humble brag at all. I am trying to figure out which neighborhood I should focus on. We do prefer newer homes. That is a fact.

I think there are plenty of "super smart" kids in the LLIV programs at Chesterbrook and Spring Hill, but the centers will get more of the kids who are exceptionally strong math/science kids.

IMO, it is best to be at a center school that serves non AAP kids also-Churchill or Haycock, depending on if you have a preference for Langley vs McLean high school. Local level IV is fine from what I've heard but Center schools have larger AAP populations.

All McLean schools are pretty overcrowded. Sherman is least crowded, but you will have choice to send your AAP kid to Churchill which is the center school and pretty overcrowded.
Honestly OP, it sounds like Arlington public schools would be a better fit for your family, considering the class sizes and budget problems plaguing FFX schools.
Top schools in FCPS are better and Arlington is facing major overcrowding/capacity issues.
