If your adult child lives with you in your home, perhaps -- perhaps -- you should be able to set a curfew or house rules. Otherwise, the mere fact that you paid for college is meaningless. Your child is an adult and independent of you.

Lol we pay full price OOS and daughter (has two more years) and we don't try to tell her what to do. We give guidance, emotional support, and money but decisions are hers to make. She can always come home but I don't think she will need to.

I never lived with my parents again after I left for college. After college graduation? I had a job and an apt. Are you asking for people who still lived at home?

I don't have children. Yeah, I'd imagine most parents are generous enough allow their 22-23 year kids leeway.

I had a rule before I graduated: I had to major in something I could be employed in. So I had to minor in philosophy. Best advice I ever got!

Parents paid for mine. I still did what I wanted, because by the time I graduated college I was an adult.

Well, most people become adults their freshman or sophomore years of college, and even when they're done, they usually still have to listen to Mommy and Daddy because of the bad economy.
