Does the high incidence of girl on girl experimentation ( especially at the all female colleges) not give any parents pause?

An all girls high school was transformative for my DD. She gained confidence and leadership skills that I suspect she would not have gotten in a co-ed school (indeed there was some recovery that was required from co-ed middle school).

It's apples and oranges. You can't compare forced segregation of different races to voluntarily attending a same-sex high school. I'm surprised you would need to have that explained to you.

My daughter goes to an all girls school and it has been such an amazing experience for her. Worth every penny.

Girls do better in school, often, but boys still dominate the space. They dominate classroom conversations, leadership positions, and disciplinary action. That's the big benefit of an all girls school--girls get to take up space and be heard. I went to a women's college almost by chance by it was a great experience. Not sure it'd make private HS tuition worth it to me, but if your choosing between different privates, I think there is a benefit to all girls education.

Two women in my family went to all girls schools and they are both very successful in science fields. Confident too. Always attributed their success to that.

My all girls' HS experience was good for me. I chose a cord public school for my older child and she did ok, but she had the same BF for all 4 years and he was a distraction when they were in the same classes. My younger DD attends an all girl school for multiple reasons, but eliminating that particular distraction is definitely one.

I had a wonderful experience at my all-girls high school. I think the "advantages" you're referring to girls having these days are different than the advantages afforded by a same-sex classroom.

I had a good experience, it was years ago though. Not sure how it is now. My kids currently attend COEs public high school. There is o all girls school within our area and my Husband insists public vs private education.

I am guessing you mean HS but this is my perspective from college. Three DD-two went to Ivies, one went to Mount Holyoke. The 2 Ivies did well - but it seemed a continuation of same high achieving system they'd navigated in HS; my all women's college DD was transformed by her experience and I can truly say that the young woman she became is so wonderfully remarkable - my DH and I often remark that we never expected her to be as amazing as she is (and she was wonderful before!) I am personally jealous and wish that I had had same opportunity.

Years ago it was to give them Advantages but now girls do have the advantage and boys are starting to backdrop. I am still thinking of sending my daughter after reading a book about the value of same sex schools.
