CCL/CCL2 either way is the way to go

If a club is selling you on their team because they play in CCL vs. NCSL you need to ask a lot more questions about the club. CCL should be like selling point #37 on why one team versus another. The main benefit to CCL is club stability - they all agree not to poach kids from each other so the teams can stay together more readily. Yes, a good thing. And, yes, CCL has generally strong clubs so they don't have to deal with bad matchups. But they do happen, because inevitably some of the clubs are weak at some age groups.
The advantage NCSL has is promotion/relegation, which helps make matchups more even. Of course, those changes don't always happen quickly enough and also leads to team instability - if they're relegated players may want to leave.

There is CCL and CCL 2. Sorry if people don't realize your child's greatness based on a general league question. Also, CCL 2 exists so that kids can move from their teams A and B teams for developmental reasons so chill out. Quite frankly, if you have to ask which league is better it sounds like your kid isn't all that to begin with.

Also, CCL 2 exists so that kids can move from their teams A and B teams for developmental reasons so chill out. Isn't that what CCL2 is?

For some clubs. Others have deep talent, but can only fit two teams in CCL so third goes into CCL2. Hence, the 12-0 games because they aren't getting challenged. Some of these clubs are in there so they can rotate their players among their different teams. At the youngest age groups, it doesn't mean a whole helluva lot.

CCL most definitely

There are almost 100 teams in the lower age groups of NCSL while CCL has 16 clubs.

At the lower ages, the NCSL Division 1 teams (there are 8 or 9 divisions in NCSL) are usually equivalent to most of the CCL teams. The Division 2-9 teams are less competitive than most CCL teams.

At the older ages, the CCL teams are generally more competitive than most of the NCSL Division 1 teams. There are always some exceptions however.

Which is more competitive? I see some clubs play in CCL but DC's friends all play in NCSL.
