What are you talking about? Most of the private camps are actually run by and staffed by elementary school teachers with a college kid as an aide.

You should search through the county, city and area of interests like if it's science, drama-search using those words.
By now, many of them are booked and the remaining ones are either quite pricey (>$300/week) or subject is not as interesting as some others.

Subject: Summer child care
Is there a resource where I can research full-day summer camp/day care programs for school aged children? I got a flyer for the Department of Labor's summer camp (I applied to its daycare program a few years ago so I guess I'm still on the mailing list). I'm wondering if there's a resource where I can find/compare similar programs.
