This is insane! There HAS to be a backstory or reason why. There just has to be.

Boss tells us that he doesn't want any distractions during the meeting. we can't have phones, laptops, food, drinks etc.

I had a doctor write a note so I could wear flip flops and slippers when my feet were swollen during my third trimester.

Are you allowed to go to bathroom? Or does he want doc's note for that too?

If I could not switch jobs to work with more sane people, I guess I would attempt to get a note, but I can't imagine explaining it to my doctor. Like how would that go "well my boss is kind of a psycho about water bottles..."

why exactly can't you have a water bottle at a meeting? That's insane. Everyone at my work brings coffee or tea too.

What the hell kind of person do you work for?! I'd be less concerned about a doctor's note and more concerned about finding another job...

What is the reason behind this rule?

Boss says that we aren't allowed to have water bottles in a meeting unless we have a medical reason for needing water during a 3 he meeting. Should I just get my doctor to fudge a need for water? I could go 3 hrs without dying but I would like to have a drink of water.
