Twenty one pilots is mostly about overcoming depression and suicidal thoughts. If ur a teen or preteen this music may mean a lot to u and yes this music is appropriate because its saved so many lives!

The outfits that Fifth Harmony wear are enough to turn me off to even letting my children watch their videos let alone take them to a concert.

PP here, there are tons of videos on you tube of them playing in concerts and lots of reviews. I went through all of them before buying the tickets. My only suggestion would be to stay away from the front/pit.

21 pilots does not use any profanity at all which I find very refreshing. I'm a mom and love this band and their lyrics. Their lyrics talk a lot about anxiety and insecurity but have an overall positive message. It's just two guys, one a drummer and one plays multiple instruments and sings/raps. They write their own music. I'm taking my 11 yr old to see them at merriweather lawn seats. Can't wait!

OP here. I thought so only because of the lyrics of some of their music. Really I would prefer my 9 year old still like and listen to Justin Roberts, but I know that's not the case anymore.

I like twenty one pilots, but have only listened to like 3 of their songs. Stressed Out is good with a decent message and lyrics. "BlurryFace" is basically the singer's persona with insecurities and that's why his neck and hands are black to show he's self conscious of his voice and writing. Another video I watched on youtube was good and appealed to the commenters with social anxiety. Another video was kind of weird and gory with them in a field with half their bodies missing. So, it varies and depends what they would do on stage.

Went to their concert last week. The average age was fairly young, maybe 16-17.. more like teenagers than young adults. Their music can be pretty angsty so it makes sense that it would reach teenagers more than other age groups. I think it's fine to listen, there might be some swear words here and there but the guys are talented and their lyrics are very smart. The show was entertaining but surprisingly vanilla - especially if you avoid GA floor tickets but even then it seemed really quiet.

They're cool. Playing Merriweather. Get lawn seats and go with her.

My 9 year old son loves the song on the radio right now. Wouldn't take him to a concert though.
