We are doing Levine, the kids are enjoying it so far, they have older students choose a NEW to them instrument so that everyone is at the same beginner level. If she would be interested in trying a new instrument. It's in DC off Tilden and they do offer aftercare.

Anyone know about Appel Farm Arts Camp in NJ? I was thinking about it for next year when DD is 11. My DD is gluten free and they say they can accommodate.

Np. Are there camps that allow kids to work on more than one instrument? My DD plays violin, piano and guitar, but wouldn't want to play violin all day.

University of Maryland Summer Youth Music Camp

Website says ages 10-16, so maybe for next year. Great camp, reasonably priced.

Is the Landon summer camp serious in music or more of a fun camp?

Well, this might be too common but my "talented" son loves Bach to Rock. They have a band camp and it's fun to play rock songs. It's not learning a lot on piano, but it is really a great time and most of the kids there are more serious musicians in their regular lives.

A Suzuki Institute would be wonderful if she already knows the Suzuki repertoire, or can whizz through it before the summer. There is one in this area.

At that age, I'd be looking at sleepaway camp if she's so talented. Interlochen takes rising 3rd graders, I think.

Any suggestions for a music camp for 9 year old who can play two string instruments and the piano, loves to compose and sing? Anything in Bethesda or DC would be great.
