Mine are only 5.5 and 2.5, but I definitely do not long for another child. I don't anticipate that changing.

I think many kids are spoiled and coddled because Moms only have 1 or 2 and devote way too much time controlling them. I think larger families have kids with more manners, less needy and much more adaptable. I see it as a positive.

I have a 14 and 7yr old and wanted two more in-between them but many miscarriages and chemical pregnancies didn't allow it.
If I had the chance for a 3rd I would do it. But I was already 36 when I had my 7yr old and I didn't want to be some old hag when they were in high school. So I regret not having more earlier but I don't regret not having one when I was older.

Yes. We have two and are very happy with the balance.
I've seen several families completely unravelled by the arrival of the #3. Sometimes that child is treated like the reincarnation of christ and that really isn't fair on the other kids.
Other times the child is literally the reincarnation of the devil and that's not fair on ANYONE.

Kids are 14 and 12 we've been happy with two. Three was never on the table for us, though. I had *really* tough pregnancies.
Two is nice because we have enough room in our house for guests, we have no financial concerns, we each get one on one time with our kids and time together as a family. I think three would have really tested our marriage. I'm glad we stopped at two.

I am happy I have 2 they are 14 and 12 now. I can barely manage getting them from place to place with just the two of them. I can't imagine 3.

Love my 2. They are now in MS and HS
From friends with 3...moving from "man on man" to "zone" defense as a parenting strategy is more challenging
things in life (restaurant tables, sitting together on public transportation, etc) are set up for groups of 4 but not groups of 5

Mine are now 18 and 14. I sometimes reflect that if we'd had that third, he/she would be about 11 now, and I do think that it probably would have turned out fine. But I have no regrets, at all. Especially now that we are looking down the barrel of college expenses.

No regrets. Life is really great now and we have plenty of challenges with the two to keep us busy. They both play sports and sometimes the games overlap. I like that Dh and I can split and attend the games and if there were a third it wouldn't be able to happen all the time. Traveling is easy (hotel room with 2 twin beds).

Now that you're out of babyhood/toddlerhood with your kids, are you still happy you stuck with 2 kids instead of having the 3rd? Or, do you wish you'd gone for it and suffered the insanity while they were little? just interested in others' perspectives who are in a different place in their children's' lives than I am.
