My kids have done it multiple times. it was part of the gifted program though in a magnet ms program. I wanted to make this up last summer for my 2 kids and find some other kids who were interested. There are websites that you can join, There is a fee, its group based so a group is a good idea. At most schools, you can create a club pretty easily. At WMS you can do it with 4+ kids or something I believe.

I would think she means investing with fake money. We did that even in late elementary school. It was great fun!

OP, this might be very challenging for a middle school, since there are still governance-agreement, disclosure, and cash-handling issues. Investment clubs have not retained popularity as either an educational nor as a leisure activity. are there any parents and kids here who could share some experience/advice in creating and running an investment club at middle school? my kid likes finance and investment and is interested in creating one. I would think that finding a teacher sponsor is the first step. thank you for the help.
