My DH is an incredible guy. He's kind, smart, funny, successful, supportive, you name it. All that said, he has NO sense of "fashion."

When we started dating he was in grad school. I went up to visit and he picked me up from the airport in a Patriots t-shirt and jean shorts. I seriously almost broke up with him over the jean shorts. It's still a big joke between us.

I've also broke up with a guy because of the age difference. I was older, and while he was mature and we had tons in common, it would never work out because if the age difference.

I was 30 and he was two years my junior.

He showed up in Wrangler jeans.

I was dating someone in college, and the relationship had run it's course - at least to me.
But this was my first "long" relationship (like 10 mos.) and I didn't know how to end it.

I wore silver jewelry, and had a silver charm that needed a necklace, and for Christmas he got me a thin gold chain.
I broke up with him in January, when we were all back from the holidays (and the next time I saw him), because he didn't know me, if he thought I would wear gold.

Because he said "I love you". After 3-4 months of dating. You'd have thought he said it on the first date.lol I accused him of lying and being manipulative.lol Then I stopped talking to him. He was a great, supportive boyfriend, but he clearly liked crazy women.lol

He had a secret fiancée and baby on the way behind my back.

An amazing guy in every single way had terrible "bacne". I still feel guilty about it.

I agree with OP that the two reasons she presented are the "best worst" reasons for breaking up with someone: both of those women are superficial idiots (worst reason), but their superficiality and idiocy is so extreme that it is laughable, so that makes these episodes "best"...best-worst at its best.

I dumped a high school boyfriend because he picked a Henry Rollins song as his "poem" to recite in HS English, and did so angrily in front of all my friends.

My best friend broke up with a guy she was seeing when, after sex, he bent over and she saw his asshole six inches from her nose. (We referred to him as brown eye from there on out)
