I left because my Dr. and the nurses poorly handled my fresh and FET--I was over-medicated and my progesterone rose before trigger, so I lost a cycle to a freeze-all, my FET failed and they had issues with the catheter and with getting the embie out of the catheter, my Hashimotos went nuts and when I asked them about it they said it would not impact me getting pregnant and that is wasn't associated with miscarriage. I asked about my blood clotting disorder and they said it would have no impact on pregnancy. We did IVF because we were MFI btw. Anyhow. my Endocrinologist told me to stop the cycle because my TSH was crazy. I interviewed other REs in the area and even considered going to NYC to Sher. However, I found Dr. Abbasi at CFA who takes thyroid seriously. She did additional testing, make up a protocol specifically for me (not a cookie cutter), and I was pregnant my first FET with her.

We went to GIVF. It seems like we are getting much more individualized care and attention.

How much was the fee? We are looking at leaving SG for GWU because SG won't let us gender select from our frozen embryos.

I left SGF mid cycle and my doctor never called, the only follow up was their billing department It took a couple of weeks to get records but the move to Dominion was pretty seamless. We transferred embryos and there was a fee from both labs, but the process was fairly easy, and the embryologist at Dominion was really friendly and took time to explain the process.

I left SG in September of 2014 and had a successful first cycle at my new clinic in Jan. 2015! I requested my records after a cancelled cycle! They took a few weeks or so. We transported the embryos ourselves. SG rented us the container, we wedged the container in the bottom of the passengers side, and drove them to the new clinic. I think we did the trip around 1pm on a work day.

When I requested my records from SG, I got a call from my doctor. I guess they are notified or asked to sign off. She wanted to know why I was thinking of switching clinics. So I believe they do know about it. Just matters if you care.

Of course. They're your medical records. Requesting records has nothing to do with your cycle. The doctor might not even know you've done so.

I got my records in a week with no follow up. I guess it depends?

I transferred my embryos from an out of state clinic to shady grove (I moved), and shady grove had a lot of requirements to meet to "accept" the embryos and the whole process only took a month or 2.

Has anyone here switched from SG to another DMV based clinic and also transferred their frozen embryos? If so, how long did the processs take? I'm thinking of switching, but I'm afraid the whole process could take 6-12 months!
