PP again. Check out dr. Macri at GW. He was very proactive with my pregnancy and set me up with a great hematologist in the same building.

Was diagnosed with APS after a MM. got pregnant two months later while taking baby aspirin. Was put on lovenox at nine weeks and had a healthy baby at 38 weeks. Pregnancy went great, but was stressed throughout because of the APS. Lovenox shots weren't a big deal -- couldn't even feel them some days. My advice would be to talk to your OB about worries and skip googling (added so much unneeded stress to my pregnancy!). Also, having a fetal Doppler at home helped a bunch (not for everyone, but the shots made me spot and it was reassuring between dr. Apps). The odds are in your favor with the help of blood thinners...hugs and good luck!!

After 4 losses, hematologist and RE both think I should just do Lovenox shots the next time I get pregnant and see if it helps. I'm doing ivf now and while some of them are tolerable, some of them are making me miserable. If I had to take some of these every day I was pregnant, I'd be miserable.

Me! I had three early losses before my diagnosis via blood test at the gyn and confirmed by a hematologist. I took lovenox every day from the end of my period until either I was pregnant or got my period again. Then continued the shots throughout the entire pregnancy.

But so you know the very next pregnancy went swimmingly. It was perfect and totally text book through delivery. I was scheduled to be induced at 39 weeks but ended up going into labor on my own at 38 weeks. I got very lucky with the timing though as I had to wait I think 12 hrs from the last injection to get an epidural.

I have hashis too. I added prednisolone this last cycle. Nothing proven but it's supposed to help with preventing immune response to an embryo that can be caused by hashis. But, I do think Tsh is more important.

I have Hashi's but my RE didn't say anything about steroids - just that I need to get my TSH level below 2.5. Any idea why the steroids? I'm wondering if I need to do something more than just regulate my TSH level.

do you know which specific tests they ran/you were positive on? I'd asked for a clotting panel after my most recent miscarriage, and I just noticed that they *didn't* run the lupus anticoagulant or the anti-beta 2 glycoprotein. they did run Proteins C & S; PT 20210; Factor V Leiden; anticardiolipin... those all came back normal. Still waiting on the testing of the fetal tissues; wondering if I should ask for the additional tests.

I saw Dr. Abbbasi at CFA--we also had male factor. She did a full immune work up. I also have Hashi and various other issues. I have twins now!

Oh and I now have 3 live births after initially receiving APS as part of my initial diagnosis (and also many losses).

Which one(s) did you test + for OP? APS was only part of my immune diagnosis and I had other reasons for being on lovenox so I saw Dr. Hamersley in Rockville as my MFM. I'm sorry for your losses OP.

Just found out that my three mc were due to antiphospholipid syndrome. Would love to hear some success stories and good doctors recommendations since I'm new in town.
