I don't know the answer to your question, but I know some kids in PWC who seem ridiculously well qualified who were waitlisted or rejected from UVA and Tech Engineering.

I know this is a very subjective question and very much varies depending on the situation, but has anyone found that students in PWCS have a better chance (or are looked at with a less selective lens) of getting into the top in-state public schools (UVA, William and Mary) than those in Fairfax County (and the other counties closer to DC with the same reputation) do? This is based totally off the belief that these schools are most selective with NoVa students compared to the rest of the state.
