its her anxiety. I never would, but I would love to put a camera on my kids so I could know they are ok every second, lol. Stop arguing with her. Shut that part down bc it's in your control but her googling is not.

Just tell them and no need for them to look. Why are those things about your life such a secret?

My mom would do this. She would never admit it but she would. She keeps tabs on our local weather and local news. I fully expect that if she knows the same of my kids activities, preschools, etc she looks them up online and especially likes to take note of the cost.
I agree I think it is weird and creepy. I can chalk some stuff up to curiousity but I think a lot of times it crosses the line. My mom doesn't really have a life so I guess she has a lot of time to snooping and judging how others live theirs.

I agree with those above - they're bored and they care. That's a good thing (the caring part). Maybe you should talk to them more. Maybe they're just annoying people. doesn't seem like a big deal to me.

I think it's no more strange than you going on DCUM to complain about it!

My Mom once admitted to googling me and my sister and our spouses. It's plain nosiness. But, her career was in research, so it probably seemed obvious to her to do so.

Do you have siblings?

They look up the new house we bought online, and now keep tabs on other properties in our area to see if people sold the houses for good prices. They've looked up crime stats for our block, sex offender info, and started looking up stats on the schools our kids will be going to in a year to see how they rank. I asked why they do this. Just curious, they claim but I feel like there's almost something invasive even creepy about it. DH thinks it's weird too. Anyone else dealing with this. I think they're bored and need hobbies, badly (retired).
