I thought Harrod's was really cool. There are things there you wouldn't seder anywhere else. The grown ups toy departments had DH drooling ama my 3yo loved the kids toy department. I enjoyed looking at the baby and kids clothes, although we didn't buy anything there except chocolate! It's also convenient to a number of the museums. DH took DS to Hamley's, too, while I went to a show, but when I went I really thought it just a British version of Toys r Us but more expensive and crowded. DS loved it though.

My teenage daughter never wanted to leave Harrods! The food section is amazing and DH and I did some fabulous Italian wine tasting in the wine department as well.

I meant, I stuck with food shopping, not that the stores don't have other stuff.

No, you definitely should go to Harrod's. Also, if you have kids go to Hamley's.

Just got back from London, and loved wandering Harrod's, especially the incredible food court. Fun place, and I am NOT a shopping person.

Just to check out something different. Not looking to shop for something in particular

I love Marks & Spencer. It isn't really a "department store", its more of a Target/Grocery store/some other store all combined in one. But they have great cookie tins, etc. that you can bring home for people you need to bring gifts home to.

Liberty of London, for the building itself.

for a British experience? I hear Harrods is not really what it's cracked up to be.
