I dont mind the FB stuff myself, but it would irritate the crap out of me if people started pursuing me "in real life," about these stupid ventures.

OP, are they good enough friends that you can say something to them along the lines of what you said? "I feel like this is all you really want to talk about with me anymore. Are we still able to hang out like we used to?"

Had a friend aggressively pursue me with Nerium (??) products. She had been completely brainwashed. Finally had to be really blunt and essentially break off contact.

I have a friend who does this crap, but she only does FB posts, never messages directly to me, so I just ignore it. If she kept pushing it even after I had clearly asked her not to, we probably wouldn't really be friends anymore, because friends treat each other with respect and consideration, and not like ATMs.

I'm a guy, and I have female friends who keep sending me invites to crap that I don't even think I could sell like fingernail polish and make up. I assume they're just hitting "invite all." I usually ignore those.

I did have a friend who started sending me private messages asking why I was afraid of making money. She was so diversified in her crazy that I didn't even know where to start. Her company sold bedazzled t-shirts, energy drinks, and grocery deliveries. I tried to be nice, but eventually I had to unfriend her.

I treat it like I treat internet trolls: it's far more effective to not engage than to respond trying to get them to stop. Every time they send you a message about this crap, ignore/delete, do not respond. Explaining to them that you don't want this crap isn't going to work. Just completely disengage whenever the MLM stuff is mentioned.

Luckily none of my friends do that crap. I'd delete anyone who continually tried to sell me stuff.

3 of them are SAHMs, the other one is in a very successful job outside the home. I wouldn't say they get "snippy" its more the "I just can't understand why you wouldn't want this life changing product?" etc...

I literally feel like I am about to snap. I have 4 friends and countless other acquaintances who are selling through an MLM company right now (4 different companies). There isn't a week that goes by that I don't get a Facebook msg, text or phone call about a party, new items, promotions etc. I have told each of these friends over and over again that I am not interested and will never be interested. I really feel like now I have lost all respect for them since they can't respect my request. So now I'm just ready to say straight up that we can no longer be friends. Like seriously. If this is all you are now, I'm done. Does anyone else feel like they are literally just being asked to give their friends money? Because that is how it feels to me. Do people not realize when they get sucked into these things that they will lose friends?
