Can you flex your hours so that you either leave before or after rush hour?

Once you get east of DC your commute will be a breeze. It's the first half of the trip that would be bad, but it also wouldn't be that far. Have you tried the commute in rush hour? It might not be terrible, especially if it's only 2 days a week.

I commute to College Park from Capitol Hill. It's an easy reverse commute. Bowie would be similar. I would not do Western MoCo, but maybe Takoma Park, MD. But, will you be working three days in Arlington? The VA to Price George's County or the reverse is a terrible commute.

I had a friend that commuted from Bowie to Alexandria every day. I absolutely would not live on the west side of the beltway and commute to Bowie, that's nuts. Stick to Alexandria/Arlington.

That's what I'm thinking also. Has anyone done this from Arlington?

Wouldn't you be doing a reverse commute going from Arlington to Bowie?

I currently live in Arlington and got a new job that's going to take me to Bowie 2 days per week.

I'm thinking I should move because of the commute.

Options:

1. Live in Alexandria and take outer loop Beltway there.

2. Live in McLean (closest exit to the American Legion bridge)

2. Live in Bethesda/CC

Not sure what to do???
