Subject: Are all positions open until filled?
Sometimes they have time to wait and find the perfect candidate--such as when they know someone is retiring in 6 months.
Another situation is when the job is technically "open" but they are already testing out an internal candidate to do the work (or have a temp in the position that they want to make permanent).

Why do some remain on the job websites for months and months but others not very long at all?
