I've had honed black granite counters for almost 10 years and love them. I clean them with windedx- the original blue kind. I've never done anything else. My fabricator was incompetent and gave no instructions but the windex has worked well. A

I clean my honed black granite with a small amount dish soap mixed with water and some rubbing alcohol. My fabricator/installer told me to wipe it down twice a year with denatured alcohol to really remove grease. I would not do honed black granite again, though, due to to grayish stains here and there. I'm not sure if the sealer is wearing off or if the spots are actually etching.

My concern is that it will also make it shiny. Does it?

I was thinking about Tenax Uniblack 1 but the company claims it requires a professional to apply it.

What do you use to clean yours?
Has anyone tried mineral oil for making small smudges show less?
I feel like ours always looks dirty.
