We fly there at least once a year and sometimes stopover at various airports.
The safest time to fly is after an attack, PP is right. All the airports will be on high alert.

I would go, but you have to go with your gut on this.

We went to Europe about two weeks after the Paris attacks last year. Not to Paris or even to France, but this was also on our minds as we went. We had no issues, though, and we were fully expecting some.

Easy for you all to say - I'm supposed to take my 13 year old to spain with a school group this week. Nervous - not of actually dying but of having a stressful and scary trip.

I would go, but I would avoid public transportation...just as I do in DC. I walk or take a cab.

I would also take a few day trips outside the city, and I probably wouldn't linger in crowded tourist spots.

I think you are probably "safer" to fly immediately after an attack, than most other times.
I would do it, OP, but I could absolutely understand why someone wouldn't.
