Aren't many Uni programs in English anyway? As someone who worked hard to become fluent in German I don't know if it's worth it, even if you plan to study there.
Some are and some aren't. Frankly, I think most Americans going to a German university may be underwhelmed. The education is very good, but the amenities are nonexistent. Don;t get me wrong, I think Americans have gone overboard with amenities at university, but it is a very different experience in Germany.
