You don't just walk into urgent care and get Adderall. For my kids, it took a couple of months to get there. Psychoeducational testing and a diagnosis. A meeting with the school. A referral to a child psychiatrist. Several meetings with the psychiatrist. And PP is right, our MD stepped up the dosage slowly over a six week period. As an adult, I was able to start somewhat faster, based on my kids' diagnoses and success with Adderall, because ADHD is so genetic. But I still titrated up slowly.

If you have true ADHD, these drugs can be life changing, and are very unlikely to be abused. They correct a real brain wiring issue that I don't fully understand. If you don't, they have high abuse potential. If you relally feel like you have ADHD, ask your PCP for a referral for neuropsych testing and go from there. But it sounds like you just want to score speed legally. Don't.

See a doctor. Unless you know someone who will sell you meth. But that's not risky at all.

If you show up somewhere, asking a doctor for them immediately, you'll be labeled a drug-seeker and sent on your way.

Uh, you make an appointment with a doctor and they decide if you need them. Your PCP might not even give them and may refer you to a psychiatrist. But honestly there is zero non-sketch reason that you suddenly need them TONIGHT and can't wait another couple of days after never taking them before.

We had to complete tests and have teachers/relatives complete a questionnaire. A pediatrician or child psychiatrist will use that information to obtain a correct diagnoses. Even then, they will start you off on a low dose and increase it as needed. It took us a long time to get it. Even now, we have to have a doctor appointment every month and be handed the prescription. It is a controlled substance so it cannot be called into the pharmacy. It is also required to have an ID to pick it up.

There is no legal way to try it out that fast. The fastest way is to borrow a couple from someone you know.

My doctor also had an EEG done to rule out underlying heart conditions that could be aggravated by stimulant medications.

The quickest way, legally, is by making an appointment with a doctor, getting a diagnosis, possibly fighting w/ your insurance company to approve said medication, spending potentially months to find the right dosage and/or medication, and then adjusting as necessary.

It's not quick.

Why do you need this by today? If you just need a quick fix, have an energy drink or get like a quad shot drink at Starbucks.

These are SERIOUS meds. You don't just "try it out"

14:37 again, I will further note that when I started taking it, my doctor weaned me onto them due to the potential side effects, so it was a couple of weeks until I worked by way up to the minimum therapeutic dose, and a few weeks after than before I got to the dose I needed to make a noticeable difference.

+1. You need an actual diagnosis to get a prescription. Those medications are controlled substances, no one is going to hand them out willy-nilly.

Anyhow, you don't just "try it out" like getting a beer after work. These are powerful drugs and you'll need to see a doctor to discuss why you need it and what drug you need if there is indeed, an issue.

I want to tr it out and even called the online service (no such luck). Primary doctor's office is closed.
Any other options today?
