Many opportunities, both to cheat on partner and to be the single OW. Sorely tempted after I found out my husband cheated on me extensively. But, in the end, being a cheater or the OW isn't the kind of person I am and is 't the kind of life I deserve.

Who wants to cheat or be the OW - it's like being happy with table scraps. If I want to have sex or a relationship with someone, I'm sure I can find someone unencumbered.

Only participated in cheating once, with a professional colleague who I had no idea was married. I respected him greatly (but didn't love him) before that episode, now, not really at all.

What? The random hookups of my youth? Really that interesting?

My point is that for me, and I am sure lots of people, flirting and sexual tension aren't something I seek out or respond to. It's like a hobby I don't particularly like. I'll do it if needed but I find it tiresome. I am really happy just being attached to my partner, even a decade on.

I've been married for a decade and honestly cheating on my husband has just never crossed my mind, no matter who I have been recently hanging out with.

I'll point out I also wasn't a huge dater when I was single. Only had a few boy friends, etc. I found dating exhausting. Was very happy to marry my DH and put it all behind me.

I have my weaknesses, but adultery just isn't one of them.

Not sure what you are looking for. All non-ugly women have near misses all the time, they get propositioned, hit on, and know they can make a phone call and have extra-marital sex within a day or two.

Of course we are all fundamentally flawed. And of course no one is perfect. However, our flaws and imperfections are not identical. So you cannot say that we are all one moment of weakness away from cheating. I know it makes you feel better about your (potential lack of) moral character, but don't paint everyone with the same broad brush.


Certainly, we aren't ALL one moment of weakness away from anything. But if you think there aren't many stories out there of slip ups or near misses, you're deluding yourself. You're also looking at it from the wrong point of view. I also asked for stories where it ALMOST happened. In that case, I would say it reveals quite a bit of character and strength not to succumb to temptation. Possibly more than someone who has never been tempted or tested.

Clearly you are on a much higher plane of morality than the rest of us mere mortals. I bow down before you, oh beacon of goodness and light.

I have had the opportunity. Away on business, out drinking in a group, a man was clearly flirting with me. Others in the group left and he wanted to continue the evening just the two of us. I left with the others because that is not an appropriate situation for a married woman to be in.

So yes, I can say I'll never cheat.
