Instead of investing in a Tiffany setting, I'd invest in a better (not necessarily bigger) stone.

Yeah. The retained value makes it not a completely stupid choice. I personally would still choose a high HCA round for that purpose though.

The short answer is: No, it's not worth it.

You can get MUCH better for your money, across the "c's" by shopping elsewhere.

OP. Honest question because I have lots of Tiffany pieces and I love their collection but when it comes to the rings, I have a much harder time justifying the cost difference for something similar elsewhere. Especially since Tiffany doesn't offer a GIA cert, just in-house cert. which the customer is expected to take for accuracy.

Are the engagement rings or wedding bands worth the cost of the mark up for the name?

Who has a Tiffany and Co. engagement ring that wears it regularly? Would money be better spent buying a Tiffany style ring with a nicer stone and less expensive?
