If it makes you feel any better, I only have one ovary and still managed to have two kids, both after 40.

My last ivf we had 12 retrieved from my left ovary and one from the right after 14 days of stims. It happens. It also proved my infertility diagnosis because my left tube is blocked but my right is open. My basically 9/10 naturally the left is ovulating and nothing gets going.

It's common for women to have one ovary that produces a lot more than the other. Or by "common" I at least mean I've seen other women posting about it before, and it was true for me. Yes, I would imagine it means one is less effective. But as long as you get a good number of follicles during your cycle, it doesn't really matter which side they come from. You could have a good IVF cycle with one ovary if it were producing.

This is in the natural state, by the way, before infertility treatment.
