I guess it depends on why DC is uncomfortable. Just embarrassed to be mentioned, doesn't return the crush and afraid PPL will think DC does?

I read the OP as:

Mary created a post on Facebook asking everyone to share who a friend is crushing on.

Jane posted that Carly has a crush on Jake.

Jake is OP's son.

Jake is uncomfortable with being mentioned in such a way. What should he do in this situation?

My response would be to talk to the person who mentioned him, or the person who created the post. The former can edit her post and remove his name, but that could be an awkward conversation. The latter could delete the post, but again, would probably create drama.

Facebook, really? I didn't think teenagers still used it. Be glad that is what service your child's peers are on. Other sites are much more difficult to navigate & monitor.

I would suggest he talk with the friend and ask him to take it down. Facebook posts can be edited so it wouldn't require deleting the entire post. You might role play with him to help him figure out how to be reasonable and calm while stating his case. This is a great chance to practice conflict resolution.

If the friend tagged him, he can untag himself. He can also set up his Facebook page so he approves any tags before they show up on his page.

xyz kid mentions his friend abc and DC as his friend's crush. DC is not comfortable with the post, what should DC to do about it?

If DC is not comfortable, don't do it. High school...got to love it.
