I have a home office that is my girl cave since in our household it's pretty much the kids who rule these days.

My cave is a walk in closet which is also my craft room and office. Mostly it's a cave because it has no windows.

I think it was originally the walk-in closet or the rest of the house.

DH and I share an office, which is difficult, to say the least.

I call mine the "mani-cave" - that is my special place where I do my pampering (nails and pedis) and makeup

The idea of a man cave is that the wife controls how the rest of the house looks and works. The men get a spot in the basement or garage, hence the term "cave".

So I suppose if you want to let your husband decorate and decide the best ways to utilize the rest of the house, you could have a mom cave in the basement too, but I imagine you would end up losing out by doing that

I have a craft room that I adore. I sew, wrap presents, work on my computer there and lots of paper crafts. It's heavenly.

"Woman cave" is a euphemism for vagina IMO

My friend has one- calls it her mom cave. I think people who have "crafting rooms" also qualify.
