You'll need to compare that group to the kids from your income bracket graduating from SWW, Wilson, or whatever your public alternative is to know whether you really needed to spend that 43k.

Try to get your hands on an alumni magazine that shows what these kids are up to as they graduate, etc. Personally, the NCS alumni magazine is what convinced us that it's worth the money. These girls go on to do amazing things in life and not always related to making tons of money. Very successful, well-rounded women.

My big 3 grad is in his first year of med school at WUSTL (did UG at Carleton)...so far so good.

My DC is too young, but my analyst at work attended big 3; went to HYP; was in Goldman for two years before joining us; she has been accepted by both HBS and Wharton and is deciding which business school to attend this year.

DD graduated big 3 and then college last spring. Has a stimulating and well-paying job in Manhattan with lots of travel, making enough to live completely independently. None of her group of close friends are "bounce backs", all seem to have good jobs in a range of areas from political consulting to media/journalism, to real estate development, to banking, to management consulting. Two started l tech companies already with good venture backing.

My DS is still in college but earned enough last summer to self fund all expenses (except tuition) for a semester in Europe, including travel. He has a good job lined up this summer as well, which will turn into a full time job when he graduates, if he wants it. His friends all work during the summer, earning enough to help with expenses during the year. Even the ones with wealthy parents. Does that help?

The adults I know started their own 'companies' funded by their parents.

I will say as a big three grad who grew up in CP, there were a lot of boomerangeers during our 20s

2008 sta grad doing very well independent grounded etc looking at business schools peers seem to be doing well too

Doubt that many people who have kids that graduated 6-8 years ago are reading this board...

As people post about how excited they are to start paying schools like STA 43k next year could parents of graduates please let us know how your kids are making out as adults? More specifically graduates in their early to mid 20s? I personally don't care where my child goes to undergrad from Big 3. But I would like to know how successful these kids are in life.
