That shit happens. I would investigate further.

My sister and I look so much alike that everyone says we're twins. 1 year and 360 days apart.

OP, after you've conducted your exhaustive DCUM study, you should set off to see if the earth is indeed flat.

This is why Trump is winning.

My kids are 20 months apart and look very different - hair color, curly/straight, lighter/darker complexion.

My dad and his brother are 16 months apart and do not look similar.

My friend has two boys 11 months apart that look completely different - one super tall and one normal height. She had a third boy 8 years after the second and he is like a clone of the second boy.

This doesn't hold up IME. The theory I've heard that does: the first and third kids look much more like each other, and the second and fourth kids look much more like each other.

My girls are 8+ years apart and they look very similar. The difference is the second has more hair than her sister did.

Our girls are 20 months apart and we are asked 1-2 times a week if they are twins. They are 5 and 4.

My sister & I are 18 mos. apart. We look nothing alike, but we have the same voice & mannerisms.

My sister and I are 17 months apart, but other than coloring (same hair/eye color/skin tone), we aren't very similar. Our body type and facial structure are completely different.

My boys are 17 months apart and look nothing a like. One looks just like my DH and the other looks like me.

My half brother and I are 13 years apart, and we very closely resemble one another (clearly take after our mother).

He and my other half brother are just under 11 months apart and they look nothing like each other (other brother looks like his dad).

So that's my n=1

Has anyone else noticed this?

Is it true in your family or in other families that you have noticed?

Is there any real studies that have proved this to be true or false?
