I felt bad for Sally on Mad Men at the end of the series and wish that I could know what would happen to her and Peggy in particular.

Rayanne went on to marry royalty and quit acting. She grew up okay.

OK, I loved the first season, and I know other people (mostly women of a certain age) who still adore it (repeatedly binge-watching -- yes, even accomplished professionals, upstanding mothers and, dare I say it, PTA presidents). But, for me, it's become sort of a duty -- I mean even the clothes and Violet's best zingers just barely compensate for the redundant idiocy of the plot.

That said, though, I find myself wondering this morning . . . what will happen to Edith? (Beg pardon, meant to say "poor Edith", of course.) She's the only one whose fate I really care about . . . well, maybe Thomas, though I'll have to throw the TV out the window if they "promote" him to butler. So, here's my question:

are there TV characters you find yourself caring about -- perhaps even after the show ends?

I completely agree. I think Edith will get a lot better than she deserves. Mary is more outwardly bitchy but Edith has been more passive aggressively horrible.

I think 180 degrees differently. Mary is horrible and underhanded.

Even though I was a kid when it was on air, MASH... so many characters. Basically all of them, esp. Hawkeye.

Rayna and Deacon.

I really used to care about Abby on ER.

Jessica Jones and Carrie Matheson.

Both wrestle a lot with their darker sides. I find myself rooting for both of them to find some peace and happiness.

I used to feel that way about ER, and the show thirty something.

I know it sounds odd, but Meredith Grey. I have learned so much from here.
