Just as a point of reference, Aetna does not cover freeze all cycles and requires a FET if you have 3 or more embryos frozen before they would cover another fresh cycle.

For my Aetna plan it was 2, and this was something they changed recently. I think they're all gojig in that direction.

OP here - forgive my ignorance, but how do you get in touch with the fertility coverage team?

You probably need to talk with Kaiser's fertility coverage team.

Bump - I am also interested if anyone has done this.

I would love to know too. MD IPA allowed me to do this, not sure about Kaiser now.

I just did my first IVF retrieval, and based on numbers I'd be lucky to get one PGS normal embryo (4 fertilized). We are doing a freeze-all cycle. Is there any chance that I could do a second retrieval and try to bank more embryos before doing a transfer? I would much rather build up 2 or 3 frozen embryos from my 35 year old body than try again for a second after pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding.

I tried asking Kaiser but they weren't really able to answer the question over the phone. Just wondering if anyone else had success with that?
