I know tons of adults with nose rings. No one laughs.

Why should people laugh? Granted, it's cultural for me, but many ppl I know have nose rings.

Do what you want. You are a grownup. It's one of the perks.

No seriously, dont bother PP. I have the scar from one in my twenties. They're a bother. But if it makes you happy do it. Just be aware the good belly jewlery (gold, gems) is as expensive as what you put in your ears or around neck and if you are a little older id get the good stuff, not the zirconia 'danglers' .

Those things are gross and unsanitary and they make you look like you have a booger on your nose. But if it makes you happy by all means get one....

I say go for it. Life is too short to worry about what other people think.

my mom has one and she doesn't look stupid with it. there are lots of moms that have them

Do it if:

1. you have great facial structure and features.

and

2. if you have the character for it - you are effortlessly fun, carefree, and hip

If you don't have a great face, don't do it. and don't do it if you already have lot of piercings in your ears.

what's the cut off age limit for a belly ring?

I mean like a stud on the side, not the thing that looks like a bull. I am a lawyer, but work in academia now. No longer in DC. Semi fashionable but lots of sweatpants etc. Is this something only 22 year olds do? I am getting close to 40. Have I lost my mind or should I go for it?
