I would in the sense that he's smart, has a good work ethic, and is outstanding in his field.

I would not because I couldn't stand to be around him at work and at home. It's too much can and I need my space.

We do work together! We even share an office and its works wonderfully. I don't think that means a "no" answer to this question makes you incompatible though. Most people think we're crazy.

I'd hire him for certain jobs because he is an absolute genius but I wouldn't hire him for other jobs, if that makes sense.

This.

Thank you.

I'd hire him in a heart beat.

Hell no. I don't want to see my spouse all day. All we talk about is kids, if we worked together I would go mental.

Would you hire your spouse for a job based on what you know of their work ethic, personality, dependability, etc.? I was listening to the radio the other day and the host suggested that if you would not hire your s/o, then shouldn't marry him/her. Not sure I agree, but I thought the suggestion was interesting.

I would. He's a workaholic and wants to impress everyone.

Well, we actually have worked together in the past! It was awesome, but we eventually decided that "all eggs, one basket" was not a good financial plan for our family, and went our separate ways career-wise.

So, yeah, I would hire him in a heartbeat. He's smart, dedicated, and motivated. And that makes him a good husband and father, too .

I would not because I wouldn't want to work with my husband- I think it would be bad for our marriage (we are in similar fields, so this actually has come up before).

That said, I think anyone would be a fool not to hire him. He's smart, a hard-worker, and just a great guy to have around.

Yes, absolutely. I often wish that I could call up the people who DH is interviewing with so that I can tell them what he would really be like. I think that the interview process and the skills needed to be successful at it are often different from the job skills themselves.

That's actually very interesting. I would hire mine in that he is hard-working, loyal, responsible and a good employee. He is not, however, a major go-getter or type a sales type. It makes him a good and loyal husband, but it really depends on what the job was for. Operations? Absolutely. Sales? Nope.

Hell no. Smart but not the kind of work ethic I look for.
