We are playing but after a few weeks we just keep getting duplicates. At this point we have pretty much every not rare piece, and i think the chances of getting a rate piece are pretty slim (and the chances of getting two rare pieces are nonexistent-- notice no one got the pieces for the top prizes last year).

I think you get one for every 10 bucks you spend. Some items give you bonus tickets. The bottom of the receipt tells you if you should have got any, and the cashier usually asks if you are playing Monopoly, circles the number, initials it, and you get your tickets.

I'm playing! Wasn't going to and then ended up getting hooked. We go to HT more often than Safeway though so don't get as many chances.

Is anyone else playing?

I bet you everyone is one ticket away from winning and there are very few of the last winning piece...

For all of you one ticket away- consider checking out this site that lists all the hardest tickets to get..

Wow - those people in the comments are crazy! It never even occurred to me to join a Facebook group with the sole intent of swapping some of the game pieces.

My daughters and I are obsessed with that game. They got their own game board so I gave them the markers I already had. Not sure what we are going to do when they catch up to me.

I go to the same cashier every week and I tell him to make sure he gives me good tickets.

I use my knifes all the time.

Yes, everyone. Please don't get too excited about being just one ticket away from winning. If they say "1 in 10,000 chances of winning" they will only print that one ticket you're missing 1 time for every 10,000 of the others they print.

In other words, we're ALL going to be just 1 ticket away (and it'll be the same 1 ticket) from winning that big prize.

Yeah, I know. Still fun, though. And I shop at Safeway anyway, so it's hardly any extra effort to play. I did not collect the stamps for the knives, though.

OP here. No. It goes until May. Either he did not buy anything that qualified or when the clerk asked if he was playing, he said no.

My husband and daughter are obsessed. He took over grocery duty four months ago and has fallen hard for the Safeway games. Just ask me about our knife set he saved stamps for. Lol
