Depends. I'd like to say it doesn't matter, but then my brother-in-law married his third wife around this age... just like the first two ones, this marriage ended with a crash.

I have a friend in a similar situation and I would never say he is damaged goods nor unworthy of love. My friend is kind, thoughtful, and compassionate, and deserves happiness. He has experienced major challenges in life but he still has a huge heart. I love him dearly and could not imagine a life without him.

Yeah, don't do it. I know someone who is 52 and about to marry his 3rd wife (she is 33). He is not a bad person but sucks when it comes to relationship. He'll run away from this one eventually, too.

How long ago did the second marriage end. Less than 2 years, he's still damaged goods. 3-5 years, then he may have had enough time to work on his issues.
