This guy is 19. If a kid at the age of 19 is capable of completing him or herself in a foreign country, keeping him or herself out of trouble and safe, then there is one, and only on, conclusion. You failed miserably as parents.

My college kid went to Mexico last spring break and is going again this year. They didn't leave the all-inclusive luxury resort last year. We are a bit worried about zika this year but DC is bringing bug spray.

There are spring break trips that are a little more structured thru student city. Yes, they have horrible names like a booze cruise to appeal to the age group- but it's in a contained area. About $1000 all inclusive for 5 days. Bahamas.

My 19 yo wants to go to Rocky Point in Puerto Penasco. I have never heard of it but I have read the state department's warnings for Sonora, the state that it's in. Scares me that it warns about driving only in the daytime and the high drug activity. He and a bunch of friends plan to go together to stay at a hotel but I know they will venture out. I know I cannot actually [/i]tell him what to do, but I have his passport and he needs me to mail it to him. I would never forgive myself if something happened to him. WWYD?
