I don't think Seaton is totally safe anymore. There are a lot of siblings this year, and the school has made a ton of progress. Langley OTOH, is still safe. It is our IB and it has a good principal, great building and outdoor space, good preschool teachers. I know a lot of people like it as a safety because it's right near North Capitol St and a couple of bus lines, and you could walk from Noma metro if you really wanted to.

Apple Tree Columbia Heights. Since it's only a two-year school, they cycle through dozens and dozens of names on their wait list as people opt for longer-term solutions.

Maybe Sela. We got in last year, it is a great school. We later got in to a school off the wait list, so did not attend.

Miner for sure. Great school, definite safety, often overlooked.

Breakthrough is opening with 90 slots. Some have said Shining Stars and Lee are both adding PK3-PK4 classrooms.

for pk3? Can someone recommend a less popular but still quality school that I might be overlooking?
