I enjoy lifting weights and do so for mental health, about 3 times a week. If I dont get out that energy I will often snack as a weird outlet for the energy
I have a plethora of healthy recipes that are really easy. Taco salad with beef, salsa, avocado, green onion, red onion, Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. Eggplant "lasagna" with tomato sauce, lean parmesan cheese and a small amount of ricotta. Spaghetti with zucchini "noodles" instead of pasta.
For me, what works is kind of a low carb thing, though it never feels that way and I do like deserts. I never like feeling deprived, and I like to be able to eat a lot, until I'm full, so salads and modifications are my best friends.
Hope that helps, OP.

Anonymous wrote:I'm average size, but in my experience over many many years and many many friends and acquaintances, I've come to conclusion there are two kinds of women who are naturally thin over about 35.
The first group is just naturally thin. Their mothers are thin, their sisters are thin, they bounce back relatively easily after pregnancy, etc. Some are more toned and work out more than others, but none of them would ever be overweight without a metabolic disorder or something like that.
The second group is obsessed with being/staying thin. They work out religiously, they are fanatical about what they eat, etc. this group is not usually naturally thin, and many have been overweight at some point in their life – as children, as teens, post pregnancy etc. They are rightfully very proud of their appearance and prioritize it over most other things.
