I haven't done a M-NPCC camp, but the local PG county rec center had a half day camp and all three of the camp teachers were regular elementary school teachers during the school year.

I'm not clear on the specifics of the screening procedures anymore. However, over the years my now-teenage son has done a bunch of these camps. Some of them were better than others, but our experience has always been positive, and I felt they were run well.

What are your thoughts on the M-NCPPC Summer Camps? In light of what recently happened at the one PGCPS school, I’m wondering how safe the M-NCPPC’s camps are. What is the screening process for M-NCPPC camp volunteers and employees?
